Michael Jordan "Flying" Lithograph
Michael Jordan "Flying" Lithograph
"Flying" - 1 of 4 Limited Edition Lithographs from Michael Jordan and Mark Vancil. A beautifully crafted lithograph from the Rare Air “Artistic Series” collection. An array of sequential photographs of MJ, taken by noted NBA photographer Nathaniel Butler at the 1987- 1988 Slam Dunk Competition in Seattle.
Michael writes on the back of the lithograph: "When I was younger everyone asked me if I could fly. I'd always say, 'Yeah, for a little while.' But when I saw myself in these photographs I wondered: 'When does jumping become flying?'
Nathaniel S. Butler discovered these never-before-seen photographs in a drawer. We asked him for shots for my book, For the Love of the Game. Packed away were these dunk sequences from the 1987 -1988 Slam Dunk Competition."
